Loop Box

Wire rope loop connection for precast concrete walls

Precast concrete walls can be connected with

single and double wire Loop Boxes. Loop Boxes

are installed to the formwork according to the

spacing specified by the designer, before the

panel is produced. After removing the formwork,

the protective tape is removed, and the loop is

bent out and straightened.

Wall panels are installed and supported

according to plans. A vertical rebar is installed

into a joint through the loops, and the horizontal

position of the loops is checked. After completion

of the formwork, the joint is finished by pouring

or pumping the grout into the joint.

03/26Installation to the Mold

The connection loops are installed to the mold by

fixing them by nails through the holes in the box. The

flexible steel wire is installed among the reinforce-

ment. The wire cables do not need to be fixed to the

surrounding reinforcement. If necessary the boxes

can be used without wire cables just for forming the

pegs, but in that case the capabilities are not valid.

Installation at the Site

The protection tapes and the plastic shelter deck are

removed from the casting boxes. The connecting

loops are folded out from the boxes before install-

ing the elements. The wire loops can be folded out

without tools if necessary. The vertical rebars are in-

stalled through all the loops as soon as the elements

are installed. After the installation the casting of the
