Stack the Deck…

With Bridge Forming Products from SureBuilt!

Bridge Overhang BracketsSureBuilt's Bridge Overhang Bracket is an adjustable overhang deck support for both structural steel and precast concrete beams

The Bridge Overhang Bracket adjusts to fit both structural steel and precast concrete beams. The size and shape of the bracket is adjusted by changing the vertical and diagonal legs to meet the specific overhang forming requirements.

A Bracket Extension for wider overhangs, Guard Rail Receptacle for 2×4 uprights, and Wall Plate for wall mounting, are options adding to bracket versatility.

Exterior Hangers

Exterior and interior hangers are used for bridge deck concrete forming

Exterior Hangers generally use two types of end clips, a 45-degree end to support the overhang and a 90-degree end to support the interior. Hangers must always support the live load, dead load, forming load and/or finishing load.

There are several types of Exterior Hangers, including the Type 1-A, 2-A, 3-A, 4-A, 7-A, 8-A and 9-A, plus all the Half Hanger versions.

Interior Hangers

Interior Hangers are placed on top of the interior beams. Two 90-degree end clips support the surebuilt bridge deck hangerssuspended formwork between the beams. Hangers must always support the live load, dead load, forming load and/or finishing load.

There are several types of Interior Hangers, including the Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9, plus all the Half Hanger versions.

From the Ground Floor Up!

New SureBuilt dowel products

SureBuilt is penetrating a new sector of the concrete construction industry with the introduction of engineered joint stability systems for concrete floors. New dowel products from SureBuilt include the diamond-shaped Taper Dowel, Dowel Basket, and Steel Edge Nosing. High-traffic concrete floors and pavements require precise load transfer, smooth transition and joint protection. These requirements can be satisfied with these new joint stability systems.

The Taper Dowel is a diamond-shaped, engineered load transfer system for horizontal movement in concrete floor joints. The Dowel Basket is a wire and plate dowel assembly for efficient load transfer in concrete floor and pavement contraction joints. The Steel Edge Nosing is a free movement joint with a heavy duty steel edge to protect contraction joints in high traffic floors.

In industrial and commercial buildings, a critical design component is the long-term serviceability of a concrete floor slab. The rapid change in the logistics industry from larger, cushioned wheels to smaller, harder wheels on lift-trucks has greatly increased the problem of joint spalling in warehouse, retail, and manufacturing facilities. Spalled joints or cracks can significantly disrupt productivity, require expensive repair, and make facilities less desirable to potential new owners or tenants. A design that delivers proper joint stability and support is key to minimizing spalling and cracking in a concrete floor that is subject to wheeled traffic. Industry guidelines all recommend the use of load-transfer devices, such as dowels, in concrete floors with lift-truck traffic.

Big Gangs… Big Walers!

Just Build the Size You Need!

The end plates on each Butt Plate Waler have holes for full-moment, end-to-end connection. It’s easy to build the Waler you need.

Butt Plate Walers are available in 2′, 4′, 6′, 8′, 10′ and 12′ lengths. The possible Waler size combinations are enough for almost any gang.

Not Spandex… SPAN-X!

Telescoping Aluminum SPAN-X Beams!

The SPAN-X Beam consists of an aluminum box shape with a telescoping I-beam that provides a sliding range of adjustment. A single Nut sets the length and camber. The End Tabs support the beam during construction.

This self-spanning support can be positioned along the top of a concrete wall, shelf angle or stringer. The clear span provides a more accessible work space underneath, reducing conflict between trades. SPAN-X Beams have been used for box culverts, shaft core roofs, water channels and other similar concrete deck support.

SPAN-X Beams are available in four standard sizes, with an overall adjustment range from 3′-4″ to 19′-0″ in length.

Bolster More Customer Support!

Keep Rebar Off the Deck!

Slab Bolster is used to support rebar and mesh at the proper elevation in concrete slabs. The legs are spaced 5” on-center and spot-welded to resist bending.

When a runner wire is spot-welded to the feet along the full length it becomes Slab Bolster Upper. This provides support on soft surfaces or upper level rebar.

Standard heights from 3/4” to 4”, in 1/4” increments, with other fractional sizes available on request. Options include plastic-dipped or plastic-tipped feet, and/or an epoxy-coated or galvanized finish.

Continuous High Chair is also used to support rebar and mesh at the proper elevation in concrete slabs. The legs are spaced 7-3/4” on-center and spot-welded to resist bending.

When a runner wire is spot-welded to the feet along the full length it becomes Continuous High Chair Upper. This provides support on soft surfaces or upper rebar levels.

Standard heights from 4” to 10”, in 1/2” increments, with other fractional sizes available on request. Options include plastic-dipped or plastic-tipped feet, and/or an epoxy-coated or galvanized finish.

Beam Bolster is used to support rebar at the proper elevation in beam form soffits. Legs are spaced 2-1/2” on-center and spot-welded to resist bending.

When a runner wire is spot-welded to the feet along the full length it becomes Beam Bolster Upper. This provides support on upper rebar levels.

Standard heights from 3/4” to 4”, in 1/4” increments, with other fractional sizes available on request. Options include plastic-dipped or plastic-tipped feet, and/or an epoxy-coated or galvanized finish.

Oh Well, That’s Just Grate…

Need a Way Out?!

Do the building codes in your area require residential basements to have an escape window? If the answer is yes, then you should be supplying the contractors in your area with SureBuilt window wells and accessories.

Window Wells allow air, sunlight and access to a basement or below-grade space by acting as a barrier to the surrounding backfill. Each corrugated well is made using 18-gauge galvanized steel for durability and corrosion resistance. The top and bottom edges are formed and rolled over to eliminate sharp edges and support a person standing on a ladder or grate.

HD Egress Ladders are designed for emergency situations. The ladder can be used to escape from the basement or as an access option for emergency personnel. The hooked ends of the ladder hang over the rim, supporting the ladder inside the well. IRC code requires ladders in wells deeper than 44”. The HD Egress Ladders are available in 4’, 5’ and 6’ heights.

Grates keep people and objects from falling into the well. The grate is made of rolled angle iron steel, and welded steel safety bars. Premium mesh grates are also available to keep leaves and other debris out of the well.

Bucks are positioned and braced in the forms before the concrete is poured. Each buck has four built-in form tie slots. A basement window is installed in the opening created by the window buck.

Join the Panel Discussion!

Be a Concrete Form Panel Expert!

A handset panel is the most economical, the most versatile, and the most efficient way of forming large or small projects!

Here are just a few of the more noteworthy features you should be sharing with your customers:

Rated 1000 PSF System
With nearly 20% more weld contact, SurePly side rails, end rails and crossmembers hold up better and need far less repair, than other brands.

Full 2” Crossmember
A full 2” crossmember provides 45% more plywood contact area compared to the 1-3/8” crossmember of other brands. More support reduces “pillowing” for a better finish.

Additional Dado Slots
Four more dado slots along each side rail provides alternate tie and hardware locations – particularly valuable when stacking or “stepping” forms.

Paint Options
Forms are available in 12 standard baked-on colors, which is ideal for company branding and/or identifying rental fleets. Custom colors on request.

Baked-On Powder Coat
The smooth, extra tough baked-on SurePly form finish provides easier cleaning and more long-term protection than dip-tank painting, common with other brands.

Long-Lasting Birch Plywood
All SurePly panels and fillers include 1/2″ Birch plywood. This hardwood species, 9-ply design and 220/220 overlay provides a sturdier and longer-lasting form face.

More Productivity
Two 2×8 panels are the equivalent contact area of a 4×8 sheet of plywood, yet they can be moved, placed, tied, poured and stripped 75% faster than job-built forms.

Form Renovation Service
Renovation options include plywood removal, shot-blasting and painting. These “like-new” frames are then refaced to customer specification.
