Another Self-Riser Job on the Way Up!
SureBuilt is proud to play a key role in yet another self-riser project with the rapid rise of 2600 Biscayne, a striking 41-story mixed-use tower, currently under construction in the Edgewater area of Miami.
Leading the way for the SureBuilt team, including the initial evaluation, detailed drawings, gang assembly and field service, were Larry Harris – Forming Manager, Pawel Korus – Engineering Manager, and Don Kleywig – Assembly Manager. With their guidance the construction team benefits from the safety, efficiency, and productivity of the Self-Riser System.
At the heart of the Self-Riser System is a cost-effective, crane-independent, forming solution. The system hydraulically lifts the entire core assembly, including grid beams, platforms, placing boom, and formwork. This frees up the tower crane for other essential tasks, streamlining construction workflows and accelerating the schedule.
When complete, this 521-foot-tall tower will span over 900,000 sf, featuring 399 luxury residences, 187,000 sf Class-A office and retail space, and high-end amenities from top to bottom. With Coastal Construction as general contractor and KD Construction leading the shell work, 2600 Biscayne is poised to become a new landmark in Miami’s skyline.
