SureBuilt Self-Riser System Helps Power the Vertical Ascent of 2600 Biscayne in Miami

SureBuilt is proud to play a key role in the rapid rise of 2600 Biscayne, a striking 41-story mixed-use tower currently under construction in the heart of Edgewater, Miami. Leading the way for the SureBuilt team – handling the initial evaluation, detailed drawings, gang assembly and field service until sequencing goals achieved were Larry Harris – Nations Form Manager, Pawel Korus – engineering manager, and Don Kleywig, forming yard and gang assembly manager. As the central core of the building climbs steadily skyward, our Self-Riser Core System is helping the construction team gain momentum — delivering efficiency, safety, and productivity where it matters most.

Developed by Oak Row Equities and designed by world-renowned Arquitectonica, this 521-foot-tall tower will span over 900,000 square feet, featuring 399 luxury residences187,000 square feet of Class-A office and retail space, and high-end amenities from top to bottom. With Coastal Construction as general contractor and KD Construction leading the shell work, 2600 Biscayne is poised to become a new landmark in Miami’s skyline. SureBuilt has been working with Paul Mayer and Cory Smith at KD with great success.

At the heart of this progress is the SureBuilt Self-Riser System — a cost-effective, crane-independent core forming solution. The system hydraulically lifts the entire core assembly, including grid beams, platforms, placing boom, and formwork, at the push of a button. This frees up the tower crane for other essential tasks, streamlining construction workflows and accelerating the schedule.

On this project, the Self-Riser System is helping keep the core ahead of slab pours, as seen in recent aerial photos showing core walls reaching the 16th or 17th floor, ahead of the 15th floor decking. This efficiency is made possible by features like our Stripping Corners, which require minimal clearance and eliminate the need for reassembly, and our Upper Deck Grate, which provides a safer platform for concrete placement compared to conventional hatch systems.

With high load capacity and ample working platform space, our system supports storage for tools and equipment directly on the moving structure — keeping crews productive and prepared at every level.

As 2600 Biscayne continues to take shape, SureBuilt is proud to be part of this dynamic collaboration, contributing to a project that blends architectural innovation, luxury living, and sustainable design. The building is expected to complete in late 2026 and will feature unique amenities like rooftop coworking spaces, wellness decks, a lap pool, pet spa, and artistic touches from acclaimed muralist Derrick Adams.

With our Self-Riser System in place, the core of 2600 Biscayne is rising faster and safer — helping transform vision into vertical reality.
