Slab Grabber
Slab Grabber
Quickly install temporary fall protection rails on jobsites
with concrete decking
The Slab Grabber is for jobsite construction of
temporary guardrails and is ideal for concrete
decking applications.
The top and mid-rail loops accommodate 2×4, 2×6
lumber, or wire cable. The toe board has two nail
holes for fastening lumber.
The top loop of the Slab Grabber positions the top
rail 42” above the work surface (+/- 3”) as required by
OSHA. If used in elevated work applications, then the
top rail must be 42” plus the increased height.
Toe boards are required on surfaces with slopes
more than 4” over 12” (vertical/horizontal). Toe
boards are required if a risk exists for tools,
equipment, or other materials to fall off the edge.
Toe boards must be a minimum 3-1/2” from the top
edge to the work surface, and must not exceed 1/4”
between the bottom edge and work surface.
The Slab Grabber conforms to OSHA 1910 and 1926
requirements.
The wing nut handle spins to
adjust the jaws to the required
slab thickness.
