Description
SureSeal Li is an economical lithium-silicate sealer/densifier for concrete surfaces. SureSeal Li deeply penetrates and reacts with cured concrete. This reaction produces a calcium silicate hydrate within the concrete pores. Treated surfaces will remain breathable, reduce porosity, reduce dusting, reduce water permeability and increase abrasion resistance. When properly applied, SureSeal Li will not leave the whitish blush characteristic of other sodium silicate products
Coverage rates will vary with concrete porosity.

Always follow Technical Data sheet instruction and Safety information provided on the SDS. SureSeal Li may be applied on freshly placed concrete after the final finishing and to existing (cured) concrete. Always apply SureSeal Li to a clean surface free of cures, bond breakers, oil, dirt, grease or debris. When necessary, clean concrete surafaces with cleaner and neutralize with a neutral ph detergent. Thoroughly flush with water.
Application for freshly placed concrete: After final finishing apply SureSeal Li with a quality low pressure sprayer with a fan tip. Uniformly spread the SureSeal Li with a soft broom or microfiber applicator to thoroughly coat the concrete eliminating any puddles or excess. Apply enough material to keep the surface wet for 15-20 minutes. Apply additional SureSeal Li to porous areas that dry quickly.
Any excess SureSeal Li that dries on the surface will appear as a dry powder residue and can be removed with a stiff broom, power sweeper, or floor scrubbing machine. A compatible ASTM C309 curing compound may be applied to finalize the curing process. After the concrete has thoroughly cured, a floor scrubber equipped with a nylo-grit or similar abrasive cleaning pad will remove any residual construction debris, curing compound and further enhance the SureSeal Li surface shine.
Application as Pre-Seal densifier for Tilt-Up: When using SureSeal Li in a pre-seal application in tilt-up panel areas, an extra application of bondbreaker is recommended as a curing compound as soon as the SureSeal Li has dried to finalize curing. This will provide an excellent base for subsequent bondbreaker coats.
Application for existing concrete: Confirm removal of all surface contaminants. For best results clean the surface with a 60-100 grit sanding screen or diamond abrasive pad. Remove any dust and residue with a thorough water rinse andscrubber. Water rinse and squeegee surface dry Apply SureSeal Li with a quality low pressure sprayer. In a singlesaturating coat. Uniformly spread the SureSeal Li with a soft broom or microfiber applicator to thoroughly coat the concreteeliminating any puddles or excess. Apply enough material to keep the surface wet for 15-20 minutes. Apply additional SureSeal Li to porous areas that dry quickly. Let treated areas dry. Remove any dried powdery residue with a stiff broom or floor scrubbing machine.

To enhance the surface sheen, buff or burnish the dry concrete surface with a orbital floor machine or high speed propane burnishing machine in both directions with a black, then red floor cleaning pad. An additional gloss can be achieved on treated surfaces by burnishing with a diamond-impregnated 800 grit or hogs hair pads on a high speed machine. Please consult a professional applicator for this type of procedure. Limitations As every project and application can vary, its is the contractor’s responsibility of determining compatibility by performing field test simulating actual jobsite conditions. Do not use acidic or strong citrus based cleaners on SureSeal Li treated floors. Although SureSeal Li will improve the ability of the treated surface to resist liquid penetration and staining, spills should be cleaned up quickly to minimize any damage.
