SureFilm Concentrate
Technical Data Sheet
SureFilm Concentrate
Evaporation Retardant / Finishing Aid Concentrate
Description
SureFilm CONCENTRATE is an economical concentrate that, can be diluted with potable water up to a 9 to 1 ratio, providing a very effective evaporation retardant and finishing aid for concrete flatwork. Once diluted and sprayed
over fresh concrete, SureFilm forms a thin, continuous film which prevents rapid moisture loss from the concrete surface. SureFilm is especially effective when concreting operations must be performed in direct sun, wind, high temperatures, or low relative humidity.
• Significantly reduces plastic shrinkage and cracking caused by evaporation in low humidity, high temperatures and high winds
• Allows use of lower slump and lower water to cement ratio concrete • Provides smooth and durable concrete flatwork
• Reduces wind crusting, stickiness, and sponginess, which often
cause poor and uneven surface texture.
• VOC compliant
• Aids in finishing concrete that produces little or no bleed water, like

Standards
As recommended by ACI 302: “Evaporation Retardant/ Monomolecular Film”
Mixing Instructions
Agitate SureFilm CONCENTRATE (red/pink in color) prior to dilution with clean potable water. Add up to nine parts water to one part SureFilm CONCENTRATE in a clean container and mix thoroughly. Optimum performance can be achieve with a 5 to 1
ratio dilution.
Application
Agitate prior to using.
SureFilm should be spray applied to freshly placed concrete, immediately after screeding and/or between finishing operations as needed to prevent plastic shrinkage. When used as an evaporation retardant during dry-shake hardener applications, one or more applications may be required to prevent premature drying. If necessary, use during and after bull floating and trowelling operations.
Once diluted, SureFilm should be applied under normal weather conditions at the rate of 300-500 sq. ft./gal. As drying conditions or wind become more severe, increase the amount of material used to 250-300 sq. ft./gal.
Cleaning
Application equipment should be cleaned immediately with soap and water.
Packaging
SureFilm CONCENTRATE is packaged in 55 gallon drums, 5 gallon pails, and cases of four 1 gallon jugs.
Shelf Life
Shelf life of SureFilm CONCENTRATE in the original tightly closed containers is two years from date of manufacture. Do not allow the accumulation of water, dirt, or other contaminants.
