AutoCAD Drafter
Job Description
SureBuilt Concrete Forms & Accessories, a growing concrete construction products manufacturer, is searching for an experienced AutoCAD Drafter to convert project blueprints into detailed shop drawings. This is a full-time position, for a self-motivated individual, starting with Stud Rail and leading to other concrete construction products, including forming, precast and tilt-up. Salary based on education and experience.
Candidate must possess the ability to perform the following:
– Read architectural and structural drawings
– Compute structural dimensions accurately
– Create preliminary layouts for customer approval
– Make revisions based on customer review
– Prepare take-offs and schedule to match layouts
– Create shop drawings for manufacturing purposes
– Manage competing priorities and project deadlines
– Cooperate with fellow employees to accomplish business goals
– Follow direct instructions, company policies and safety procedures
Candidate must meet the following minimum requirements:
– Drafting experience in a manufacturing environment
– AutoCAD proficiency required, Inventor Pro familiarity a plus
– Familiarity with the construction bid and RFP/RFQ submittal process
Candidate must have the following minimum education:
– Associate degree (preferred) or equivalent work experience
– Portfolio demonstrating drafting capabilities
